We consider what bounds on the curvature of a manifold tell us about the global shape of the manifold. For example, when is a manifold of positive curvature homeomorphic to a sphere? We investigate geometric quantities such as the volume, the diameter, the fundamental group, triangles on the manifold, and isoperimetric inequalities.
