Tensor triangulated categories

We will have a look at Paul Balmers construction of the spectrum of so called prime ideals in tensor trangulated categories. Applied to the category of perfect complexes of a scheme, this spectrum is homeomorphic to the topological space of the scheme and therefore provides a new approach to certain questions in algebraic geometry.
