Eigenvalue counting estimates for Random operators of Anderson type

We apply spectral averaging techniques to derive generalized eigenvalue counting estimates for the Anderson model. In the discrete setting we present a new elementary proof of generalized Minami's estimates and some of it's spectral and transport consequences. We show how they can be extended to the continuous case using the Birman-Krein theory of the spectral shift function.
